Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

"YasuScan" (the "App") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the App collects and how it is used.

1. Camera Access

The App uses your device's camera solely for barcode scanning. All image processing happens on-device using Apple's Vision framework — no camera images or video are ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server.

2. Network Communication

Scanned JAN codes or search keywords are sent to a backend gateway operated by the App's developer, which queries the Rakuten Ichiba API to retrieve product pricing. No personally identifiable information (name, contact details, etc.) is transmitted in this process.

3. Saved Data

Barcodes you choose to save are stored locally on your device only (via SwiftData). This data is never uploaded anywhere. Deleting the App also deletes this saved data.

4. Affiliate Links

Links from the App to Rakuten Ichiba product pages include Rakuten Affiliate Program tracking parameters. The developer may earn a referral commission through these links at no additional cost to you.

5. Advertising

The App may introduce a third-party ad network (e.g. Google AdMob) in the future. If and when this happens, this policy will be updated in advance to reflect the applicable third-party privacy practices.

6. Third-Party Sharing

The App does not sell or share your information with third parties, except as required by law.

7. Contact

For questions about this policy, please contact:

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
